12-Time C-SPAN StudentCam Winning Program

Video production and yearbook is an elective option at the high school level. Students have the opportunity to learn basics of video editing, photography and more throughout this course.  The class is responsible for creation of our annual yearbook as well as a regular newscast featuring Foothills news and events.  Students have also partnered with many local businesses including University of Providence and the Children's Museum to create documentaries and promotional footage.

Annually, students participate in the C-SPAN documentary competition.  Foothills students have won awards in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023!

In 2023, two of our teams earned recognition.  Kimber Koteskey and Trinity Nicholson won a 2nd Prize in the Western Division and Anna Bauer earned a 3rd Prize.

In 2022, we had our highest finish ever when Zoe Gliko and Kimber Koteskey were a 1st Prize Winner in the Western Division. Three other Foothills teams were also recognized.
